About Me

I have more than 10 years of experience in personalized language teaching. I work with individual and group classes for adults, children and teenagers.

I know that each person is different and therefore there is more than one way to learn. That is why with each student and over time, I adapt my material and methods to their needs and preferences.

I believe that to know a language you also need to know the culture, and that the best way to learn is practicing, so I create as many opportunities as possible to interact with the culture and language.

Choose the class for you

One on one

The best way to start is with one on one classes. You and the teacher for one hour.

This way we can move at your own pace focusing on what you need. Ask questions, solve problems, and get the basics to a good conversation.

Couples

If you have similar levels, it is always fun to have the class with a friend, relative or colleague.

You get to practice what you learn with someone other than the teacher to boost your confidence.

Groups

Group classes are great to practice speaking and listening, you learn from others while having fun!

If you are shy this is the best way to help you improve and loosen up.

Why learn Spanish

Travelling

If you are going to travel, having a second language is very useful.

Depending on your level, we focus on different things. From learning basic phrases and vocabulary, preparing conversations and material according to what you need on each trip. We speak about cultures and things you will have to do or avoid in each place.

School

Whether the student is in elementary school, high school, university or post graduate school, I can help you. Each person is different and faces different challenges according to the level and the teacher.

I use the book and material you are using, if possible I work on previous exams and class work to practice and find the difficulties you face as a student.

Me time

No matter your level of Spanish, many times all you need is a place to unplug. Something to help you disconnect from work and daily routine.

These are different classes, based on your needs and tastes, without homework or the need to study at home. I use books, movies, series, articles, videos, etc. adapted to your level of Spanish.

Stimulation

Learning a language as an adult can help delay the effects of aging. Several studies have shown that studying a new language, in addition to adding academic knowledge, helps prevent neurological diseases and stimulate the senses.

I work with people with Parkinson’s, senile dementia, Alzheimer’s and hearing impairment, among others, adapting the classes to the needs and indications of their doctors.

Exams

Speaking Spanish and taking a Spanish exam are not the same thing, and each test is different.

Whether you need to take a particular exam or simply want to have a certificate verifying your level, taking classes is often necessary.

I can help you prepare and / or decide which exam is best for you. In general, students do not know the options available or which would be best according to their goals.

Work

If you work with people from Spanish speaking countries, communication can be a problem. Being able to understand, speak and write can be key to your job.

In this case we focus on the needs of your work interactions, whether it is speaking on the phone, texting, e-mailing, giving presentations or having a  meeting.
